Restorative Dentistry

Bridges

If you have missing teeth, bridges are a great way to “bridge” the space between two healthy teeth! Bridges not only improve the look of your smile but can help prevent future jaw damage.

Crowns

Crowns are a great way to restore and protect teeth that are cracked or showing signs of wear or decay. They can be made of porcelain or gold, and are fitted over the problem tooth to protect it for years to come.

Dentures

We offer both conventional and immediate dentures:

  • Conventional Full Dentures involve removing all teeth and giving the tissue time to heal, then placing dentures. The tissue can take months to heal, during which you will not have teeth.
  • Immediate Full Dentures – Before removing your teeth, we’ll fit you for dentures. After removing the teeth, the dentures are immediately placed in your mouth. You will, however, need to have a follow-up visit for a refitting, because the jaw bone will change shape as your mouth heals.

Implants

Implants are a great, permanent way to replace missing teeth, without altering any of your surrounding teeth. The first part of treatment involves placing a titanium fixture in your jaw bone, which we then let heal for 3-6 months. We can place temporary crowns as your jaw heals, while we create your permanent restoration.

Am I a candidate for dental implants?
With current advancements in dental technology, almost everyone is a candidate for dental implants! During your first visit, we’ll address any risk factors, including chronic illness, heart disease, and severe osteoporosis.

Restorative Dentistry FAQs

1. What’s the difference between a crown and a filling?

2. What is the difference between an implant and a fixed dental bridge?

Both a dental implant and a bridge are used to replace missing teeth. A dental implant is anchored into your jaw like a natural tooth, while a bridge is anchored to neighboring teeth. Dental implants and bridges are designed to last for decades with proper care, and they’re a great option for replacing missing teeth. Sunnyslope Dental Care offers both options, and we’ll help you choose the best solutions based on your needs. Click on the link below to learn more.
